The Challenges We Face

Updated: Nov 23

  • In the years that I have lived in this city, the amount of people losing their homes because of big developers has been astonishing. People are being uprooted from their homes and being displaced so a developer can tear down their community to build a multi-million dollar home. This must end.

  • We don’t need to contract with these large corporations to build more properties that will displace more students and families. Our focus shouldn’t be on building more apartments, creating more green space or tearing down affordable housing. We need to focus on providing more resources for constituents in need that are being displaced.

  • With the looming return of the COVID-19 virus, we need an experienced leader in the public health arena that will be able to tackle the challenges ahead and plan carefully for our future.
